Part Four: The Resurrection
After 6000 years of civilization, Satan is finally making his last play for mankind [1]. What is the only thing standing in his way? The birth, life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

The Resurrection is the third of five essential doctrines of the Christian faith. There are two other secondary doctrines, but we do not count them as less important as the first five. So far, we have covered the deity of Christ [2], Salvation by grace and not of works lest any man boasts [3], and now, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ [4]. All other doctrines are man made and are nonessential doctrines, not worthy of creating a schism in the body. In the essentials, there is unity. In the non-essentials, there is liberty, and in everything, there is love. Paul said in First Corinthians,

V17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
V18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. [1 Corinthians 15:17, 18 KJV]

Our faith in Christ is the finished work [5] of the Cross and Resurrection, and those believers who died before us — lost forever [6]. The Resurrection of the Saints hinges on the Resurrection of Christ. The former guarantees the latter. No former. No latter. If Christ did not rise from the dead, our faith is useless. The Bible declares His Resurrection through the many witnesses who saw Him alive after His death. There are many manuscripts declaring His Resurrection. Josephus wrote about Him as well. These manuscripts also agree with the rules of evidence of today. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is an essential Doctrine of the Christian faith and quite provable.

Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the Cross for me. For what you went through, a simple thank you does not seem to cover my gratitude and thankfulness for what you suffered on the Tree for me. In your death I can live, and I am saddened because I helped put you there. Please forgive me for my sinful life, and I worship and thank you for calling me to you. I also thank you for the gifts and grace you have bestowed upon me and for renewing my mind to be like you. However, when you come for my Spirit, I’ll be happy to be with you forever and thankfully. Your Resurrection guarantees that for me. Thank you, Lord. In your precious name, Jesus, AMEN.

Jesus came to die for us. So, let us live for Him.
