DANIEL’S 70 WEEK’S VISION

Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Part 3: The Abomination of Desolation

Many people look to Peter [1] for eschatology inquiries. Some look to Timothy [2], while some look to Paul [3], and even John the revelator [4]. While others look to the entirety of the Old Testament Scriptures and Prophets.

Now, I understand that those passages are the inspired Word of God and are all corroborating and proof Scriptures, but I choose to go to the source of that inspiration, Jesus Christ, Himself. Namely, the 24th chapter of the book of Matthew [5]. Jesus [6], was speaking to the Disciples… We are now in the beginning of sorrows [7]. This means that Christ’s return is imminent.

Jesus makes it real clear what will happen and when. Jesus tells the Disciples and us the events before [8] the Abomination of Desolation when the man of lawlessness [9] stands on the Temple Mount and causes the oblations to cease [10]. Verse 15 is an anchor point. No one knows who the Antichrist is until that day on the mount. When you see this, the Bible says to flee.

v15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
v16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: [Matthew 24:15, 16 KJV]

Verses 17-20 warn of the places not to be during the Abomination of Desolation. Then there will be great tribulation during the last three and one-half years [11]. 2 Thessalonians 2:1 [12] declares that the day of Christ [13] cannot come until AFTER the falling away and the man of sin is revealed [14]. Jesus tells the Disciples point blank what will be happening and when using the key words, “Then” and “After.”

Next week, I’ll offer to you Jesus’ words on the introduction of the Son of Man and the sun and moon turning dark. The following week and last episode of this series, I’ll share Jesus’ words and the rapture of his elect [15].

Lord, we thank you for your love and mercy and your coming for us. We love you, worship you, and give you glory and honor. We can’t wait until that day when we are in your presence. What an honor it is to be in your kingdom and to be a part of your Bride. We can’t wait for the Shofar to sound in the heavenlies. We give you honor and glory, in your name, AMEN.

Christ coming in the clouds is at the door [16].
