Talking to God

Praying hands
Part 12: For Thine is the Kingdom

Have you noticed that the Lord’s Prayer begins and closes with praise? We are to praise the Lord continually not only in times of peace, but during trials. [1]. When I am in a trial, I want the one who can fight my battles for me, at my side [2]. I am, of course, talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. His Word says He inhabits the praises of His people [3]. I can vouch for that. Every time I get into praise mode, I feel the Holy Spirit come on me. It’s more than just a feeling, but more like a presence. I love it. I love Jesus.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. [Hebrews 13:15 KJV]

Praise is the Word’s most dynamic commandment. Thanks, is the strongest word of faith, which is the basis of praise. When coming out of my prayer experience, I make up my mind that no matter what, all day long, what comes out of my mouth is praise [4]. Nothing is going to stop my praise. If I don’t come of my praise experience with my garment of praise on, I’ll be hit with something [5]. Satan hears me putting my foot down and he hears me calling in my finances. Satan hears me receiving forgiveness and forgiving others. If I don’t put on my garment of praise, I’ll leave my prayer room with a flat tire and I’ll return to normal. Normal is not good for me, a sinner.

Normal for most is negativity [6]. I have heard the phrases: I can’t. This isn’t going to work. I don’t like it. I feel bad. My money is not going to come, etcetera. Before the promise of change comes, comes the agony of choice! Choosing God’s will. How about choosing some positive declarations? God is in the process of perfecting me. Praise God, I’m getting ready to grow in grace and in the knowledge of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Praise is my language of faith and praise will continually be on my lips. Thank you, Lord, for inhabiting my praises, etcetera.

Our words have power. So, choose the words that you speak. God not only hears us, but so does Satan. One of them WILL ALWAYS acknowledge and answer your words. May we never enter or leave God’s presence without humbly bowing before Him and offering a sacrifice of praise [7].

Lord, I give you honor and glory, but mostly praise. I worship you Lord and thank you for answered prayer, and for the blessing of family and friends.  I praise you for what you are doing in my life and the direction in which you are guiding me. I thank you for giving me the desires of my heart. Thank you for my salvation and calling me to you. Praise be to the name of Jesus for ever and ever; wisdom and power are yours. I offer to you my body as a living sacrifice to you and may I be a blessing and pleasing to you Lord. For Thine is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory! AMEN!

Worship God in spirit and in truth. [8]
