Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.

Follow me
Two-thousand and three days ago, the Father gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross for all humanity according to the Scriptures, and was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures [1]. He died so that we might live [2]. The operative word there is “might.” When Adam sinned against God, he became separated from God. Through inheritance, every human who has ever been born and whoever will be born inherits the sin nature from Adam [3].

The Father desired a plan to reestablish fellowship with mankind. So, God gave mankind free will [4]. He also promised that He would not break His covenant with mankind [5] and placed His Word even above His own name [6]. To make a long story short, He sent Jesus to die on the Cross. This bears repeating, Jesus died so we might live, thereby countering Adam’s sin in the Garden [7]. What the Serpent meant for evil, Christ turned to good [8]. What a great story in Genesis 50 that has wonderful implications for our lives today. Hallelujah!

v25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. [Romans 4:25 KJV]

To follow up on the above word “might,” there is only one way to secure our eternity with Christ and that is to accept Him and salvation through His redemptive and propitiatory sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary [9]. Although Christ died once for all [10], it is with our free will that we must accept what He offered to each person through that redemption on the Cross. In otherwards, the wages of sin is death [11]. Christ did the hard part. Now, all we need to do is accept what He did, and we receive the gift of the second half. And although we die, like Christ, we will live [12]. Easy peasy.

Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living [Romans 6:16 NLT]?

Dear heavenly Father, the Creator of all things, and the giver of grace, and the Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you for your Son and His redemptive work on the Cross. I am one who was saved by your Son. I was an ugly person before Christ. I was a slave to sin, but my Lord and Savior set me free from sin and I have become a slave to righteousness. Lord, although I am a bondslave to Christ, I still slip and fall many times. For that, I am profusely sorry and ask for your forgiveness. It saddens me that I sin and put Him back up on the Cross. Thank you, Father for free will. I have chosen life. I have chosen the Way, the Truth, and the Life, which is your Son, Jesus Christ. Today, I celebrate His Resurrection to life, and will one day follow Him to glory. In Jesus name, I give you praise, honor, and glory, AMEN.

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. Hallelujah! [13]
