Focus in a time of chaos

Christ on the Tree

What with COVID-19, the wearing of masks, mandatory masks in some businesses, 100,000 deaths, 40 million people out of work, economy tanked, lost businesses, blue state governors locking down state, The fear mongering and the fostering of chaos by the lame stream media, Panicked and scared to death citizens with backs to the wall inching down toward the door because of a man walked in with no mask, Cops killing citizens, cops arresting folks for sitting on a park bench by them-self or walking on the beach by them-self, antifa riots burning businesses, burning churches, churches closed and abortion clinics open, thugs beating defenseless women silly, conflict with China, and any number of crisis.

Yes, I’m describing America. Where is the American spirit, the spirit and fortitude that beat all odds against Great Britain and won the war to establish these here United States of America? Great Britain had the most powerful militia in the world at the time. We should not have won that war for independence. BUT WE DID. Through guts and fortitude.

There is a litany of crisis to occupy our minds today. It’s one thing to prophesy and discuss eschatology and yet, quite another to go through it. We are in the world but not of it [1]. “What consumes our mind, controls our lives.” Granted, there is quite a lot that can consume our minds today. It’s not only a dangerous time in which to live, but unhealthy.

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [Luke 21:26 KJV]

STOP! Take a breather. It’s tough, but clear your mind. A person finds what they are looking for. Our focus is ALL wrong. Why do we focus and give credence to the enemy’s plan? The enemy is an idiot. The more he persecutes us, the closer we get to God.

Lets stop worrying about the enemy’s plan and focus on Christ.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. [Isaiah 26:3 KJV]
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. [Psalm 119:105 KJV]
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. [Colossians 3:2 KJV]
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [Matthew 6:33 KJV]

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established [Proverbs 16:3].

Our gracious heavenly Father, we place ourselves in your mighty hands and seek your face. Please protect my family and friends. Lord, I ask you to heal our land, we are in desperate need of your grace. Have mercy on us your children. Father, I pray for all our leaders. Give them strength and the wisdom to do what must be done. I pray a hedge of protection around this country. I pray for a supernatural intervention to squelch all hostilities that are coming against us in Jesus name. The great day of the Lord is not yet Lord. There are those who are pushing your timing and I ask that you hinder their efforts. Better yet Lord, I ask that you stop them from doing any further damage to innocent people and businesses. I also pray for anarchists as well Lord that they see the errors of their ways and that this flaming rioting helps nobody. I ask a lot Lord but NOTHING is too great for you. I ask this in the mighty name of Christ, the name that is above every name, AMEN.

You’ll never have the peace of God until you’re at peace with God.
