The Gospel Message Part four: Seek My Face
Context is everything, but we’ll talk about that next week, which will be the last installment of this series. The third requirement before God heals the land is seeking His face. The Old English term, “seek my face,” means having a close relationship with God. How else can we seek His face lest we are up close and personal? However, it’s much deeper than that, but we’ll cover that next Monday.

The Bible says to seek the Lord while we can yet find Him [1], which denotes that one day, we will not be able to find Him [2].

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [Matthew 6:33 KJV]

What do all these things refer to? The Gospel of Matthew reveals all these things [3], but the Gospel of Mark tells us that what we desire and believe that we receive them, we shall have them [4]. However, asking for that new Cadillac and such things will not happen. The Bible has a couple of caveats regarding this. Whereas “we receive not, because ye ask amiss,” and two, in the same verse, “that ye may consume it upon your lusts [5].” Ask according to God’s will and in faith [6], for without faith it is impossible to please him: [7]. See how researching just one verse can reach many verses and knowledge, all because we sought God. If I continued, I believe I could read the entire Bible by starting with just one verse. Context is everything to God.

Our precious heavenly Father, I humbly come before you, seeking your face. I desire a lasting relationship with you. I thank you that those who seek you will find you. I have found you Lord and do not plan on letting you go. I love you Lord and am thankful that you will never leave me nor forsake me or let me go either. You are a lamp unto my feet. I will trust in you Lord with all my heart and will not lean unto my own understanding. I will acknowledge you in all my ways, knowing that you will direct my path. Nothing is impossible with you, Lord, for I can do all things through you that strengthen me and my resolve. In your precious name, AMEN.

If God be for me, who can be against me [8].
